On March 5th I wrote about the Seventeen magazine and Aeropostale Free Tank Top offer.  Well, just an update for you all, my oldest daughter and I took a trip over to the mall yesterday and walked into Aeropostale with our Seventeen magazine and we got our FREE TANK!

Here is my daughter modeling the current Aeropostale “Do Your Part” tank and holding up last years “Miss Save The World” Tank.

Last year we had a bit of a drama situation around that tank.  We received the Seventeen magazine and saw the ad for the Miss Save The World Tank.  So one day while my daughter was in school, I drove over to the mall, picked it up and suprized her with it after school.

She wore it to school a few days later and while she was swimming during gym, someone went into her locker and stole it.  She was so upset, not just because someone stole it but because she knew I went out of my way to get it for her.  So I felt bad and told her not to worry about, maybe whoever stole it needed it more than she did. 

We go to find the Seventeen magazine to try and explain what happened to get another one, but in my brilliance, I put it in with the recycling and it was gone.

A few days later we’re at the orthodontists office and right there in the table is the Seventeen magazine.  Being that it was at the end of the month and the magazine was well read, as you can tell from the ragginess of it, (I used a lot of hand sanitizer that day), yes, we swiped the magazine from the orthodontists office.  

Driving home from the ortho office, we made a detour towards the mall and headed to Aeropostale.  We go in with the magazine and the guy behind the counter tells us to look at the date because the promotion was over.  Oh my goodness, he was right, I didn’t even realize what the date was!  I couldn’t help myself after seeing how disappointed she was and I explained how the original got stolen and what did this sweetie do? He bent down behind the counter and pulls out the very last “Miss Save The World” tank top and, IT WAS HER SIZE!

My daughter has guarded that shirt ever since then and now she has the new one, “Do Your Part” as of yesterday! Apparently my daughter couldn’t help herself yesterday either and told the guy at the register what happened last year and he just perked up with these piercing sky blue eyes of his and shakes his head back and forth,

 “Oh well, you know what they say, what goes around comes around…she’ll be the one who is seventeen, unwed and pregnant…(pause) with twins!” 

We both laughed at his manerisms and that cackle of his, not the comment itself because we would never wish that on anyone, but it is true that what goes around comes around. 

That’s my Aeropostale tank top story.  I’d have to say that yesterday was a great day overall. We got the tank and I won the Clinique Allure contest.  Feeling good!
