FREE Trac-Fone Wireless Service for Low Income Families
Tennessee is the first state in the country to provide free wireless phone service for low-income families. It’s a deal which was announced over the weekend with Trac-Fone Wireless through the Safe-Link Wireless program.
Individuals have to qualify for the program based on household income. All guidelines and requirements are clearly stated on the site and easy to follow. If you qualify, the program will give you a cell phone, access to emergency services and 68-minutes of free time for a year.
Apply here through SafeLink Wireless, also to check for your zip code and see if the public enrollment applies to your area. I checked and Pennsylvania is included in this program, so I would imagine there are numerous US states which are also currently eligible.
Officials say up to 800-thousand Tennesseans will qualify for the program.
Trac-Fone offers many FREE phones in all states.
