FREE links for help with foreclosure!

Published by momma under Exciting & New Edit This

If you have fallen behind and are facing foreclosure as many of us are these days, you need to know there are resources out there. It can just be difficult to determine if these agencies are going to scam you or say no.

Thankfully, CNN has posted an article regarding just that…you can click HERE to view it and review the FREE links to help you during your darkest financial times.

One thing I would like to point out is just what I think I had been wanting to articluate but didn’t.  It is NOT healthy for people to be under this type of stress. The article depicts that most Americans are suffering from anxiety. I agree with that. I also understand the dangers of feeling the financial pinch can disrupt any household, not just because we have to cut back, but because emotionally it can take a toll.  Marriages can crumble as partners turn inward or against the other. Children are bearing the brunt of it because of misplaced anger. People become depressed and look for numbing factors such as smoking, drugs and alcohol to escape from the fear, the only problem is that when you sober up…the problems are still there.

I’m here to tell you that you are all BETTER than that! Have faith that there is a solution to your problem, no matter where the solution comes from:

prayer

communicating with your family

making a plan

government assistance

local agencies

family help

supplimenting your income

My suggestion, understand what you problems are and where they are coming from. Seek the advice of a consumer credit councelling agency and do your research.  Above all, have faith and keep a positive outlook as much as possible.

Kristen Pass~LOWER 29% Interest Rates~Freebies and Coupons

I have two things to talk about this morning. Kristen Pass and lowering the 29% PLUS credit card interest rates. …(plus I have been neglecting your freebie, so I am going to give you some of those too!)

First, I am elated this morning!  This is the type of story that makes me have renewed faith in the world.  It leads me to believe that most of us are teaching our children well, to look past disabilities, color and differences and look at the person within.   Kristen Pass, an 18 year old senior attending Aledo High School, (Texas) was nominated by 100 of her friends and was crowned Home Coming Queen.  You can watch the short video here from CBS11TV.  I am so happy for her and her mother and sister.  So many times in a household where there is a member with a disability, success is achieved in small steps by setting small goals.  Kristen and her family are obviously people with vision and I pray the Lord continued to bless them.

Secondly, Jennifer Westhoven of CNN Your Money reports we have control over credit card interest rates! A viewer who wished to remain nameless asked the question regarding help on lowering credit card rates since the bailout and guess what?! If you want to do your part, then pick up a piece of paper and a pen and write to your local senator and ask them to help Congress mandate the credit card companies lower interest rates! Why can we do this? Because the government doesn’t want to interfere with businesses BUT there is a bill which is supposedly going to be passed next month regarding Credit Crad Company policies and NOW is the time to do something. We are the people and we have a voice!  All you have to do is go to the United States Senate website, look in the top right corner and click on “Find Your Senators”.  Locate your senators name and address and write them, asking them to do thier part to protect you by demanding to Congress credit card companies MUST lower their interest rates.  I emailed CNN and asked for more specific details. If I get a response I will update this post.   You have a voice, we need to help oursleves and this is something we can do as a country to make a difference!  BUT, nothing will change unless we take action to make it change, it has to come from us, and the only way to do that is to actually write and mail out the letters.  I feel that even if you don’t have a credit card, (thinking this won’t affect you)  you should write the letter anyway because in the future you might.
