It’s Friday!

It’s Friday! It’s Friday!

Although that doesn’t mean much to me because I still have to get up at 5:30 am, even on a Saturday to prepare for the Pocono Bazaar. I have so much stock left over from when I owned my store, that I can hardly walk through my basement. I had to do something with it, so I got some tables and pay $15.00 a day (Saturday and Sunday) and am fortunate enough to sell the items there.  I love to go actually. I love to watch people. I see how things look from a different perspective. For example, if the kids were really acting out in Shop Rite or Walmart…running around, not staying with me, yelling or crying and I would have to yell and chase after them to get them to behave.

...not to mention the bitching and whining…”buy me this, buy me that, eeeewwwww”…

I now watch other moms and dads reprimanding their kids and I see what it looks like. Then I thank God that the kids don’t act that way anymore. Amen, brother! I can truly see frustration in the eyes of some parents when I never could before because I used to be blinded by the very same frustration myself.  It helps me to take stock of my life.  I can truly say that I am a more relaxed person than I was five years ago. Maybe that comes with maturity?  I don’t know. Maturity on who’s part? The kids or me? The phrase, “live and learn” is true.

Okay, so now that I have paused to “reflect”, I should probably get moving onto some awesome deals for you, and I have a nice recipe to share today as well.
